Ron started in the life insurance business in 1963 as an agent with the Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company. In 1970 he wrote his first qualified retirement plan and started Perkins Pensions Services, Inc. The company services over 100 retirement plans with providing the administration and investments. In 1990 he decided to sell the company in order to concentrate on the sale of individual insurance and investment products. In 2005 Ron and his son Scott started Perkins Financial, Ltd a full financial services company.
Ron is a Charter Life Underwriter (CLU),
holds a series 7 investment brokers license and has qualified for numerous insurance companies awards and industry meetings.
Currently Perkins Financial, Ltd has associations with Guardian Life of NY, Jefferson Pilot Financial, AIG, Mass Mutual, Lincoln Benefit Life, UNUM and an assortment of other specialty companies.
One of the things that Perkins Financial, Ltd has always stressed is that the clients’ interests come first.
He has been married to Bonnie for 43 years and has two sons Scott and Gregg.

Scott first stared working in the life and annuity business in 2000 for Insurance Services Group which was known as First Capital Service Corp. at that time. He worked for ISG as an internal wholesaler for about a year and a half and then eventually started working as an external wholesaler. His main focus at ISG was wholesaling life, annuity and long-term care products to existing brokers as well as recruiting and developing relationships with new brokers. He obtained the title of Vice President at ISG as well as his life and health insurance license and the Series 6 (Investment Company and Variable Contracts Products Rep.). In 2003 he was hired by Perkins Financial Ltd. to administer the day to day fixed and variable business. In the time he has been employed by Perkins Financial he has obtained the following securities licenses, Series 62 (Corporate Securities Representative), Series 72 (Government Securities Representative), and the Series 65 (Uniform Investment Advisor).
Scott’s main focus at Perkins Financial
is to oversee the daily operations, evaluate and research investment options and track market indices and indicators. He also evaluates current portfolios for clients as well as prospects. He believes that the client’s interests always come first.
